5 daily habits: an easy recipe for Radiant Success
What is Radiant Success?
Before I tell you the 5 daily habits for a successful life let me explain what I mean by Radiant Success.
Let’s understand the opposite of Radiant Success, Superficial Success, to make the definition of Radiant Success clearer.
Most often, when people are successful, they might feel that they are not completely happy with another aspect of their life. For example, you may be leading a very comfortable life, but you might feel lonely at the best of times. You might even have the perfect body shape and size, but you might not have any real friends you can confide in. Or you have a lot of wealth to your name but no one you can share your it with. These are just some examples of superficial success.
What I call Radiant Success is success that you feel across all aspects of your life. Now, this kind of Radiant Success is unheard of in many social circles. But it is possible. How do you want to define success in your life?
If, the only kind of success you want is superficial (accumulation of wealth and positive image), you can go ahead and acquire that with some level of certainty. But would it guarantee a life well lived? Probably not. So let’s delve deeper into what it takes to feel Radiant Success.
How can I achieve Radiant Success in my life?
Let me make it clear that there is only one formula for Radiant Success. And that is to be in complete alignment with your higher self. Your higher self is the best and purest version of you, that you can be in this lifetime.
If, today, you do not feel Radiant Success, all it means is that you have some patterns running within your existence or energy field that prevent you from achieveing radiant levels of success.
Being successful or not being successful is completely dependent on the patterns that you run today. Let me explain. Let’s say, your dominant pattern is “success will change me and people might not like me anymore”. With this pattern running within you, you will always have to pick success over connection. And you will always pick connection because connection for us, humans, is a thousand times more important than any kind of success.
Given this knowledge, you now know the secret to improving your life dramatically and finding Radiant Success within and without.
Charity begins at home. So does change.
We can spend hours blaming others for all our problems but our problems won’t go away. So what can we do to have a life without all the petty problems that we constantly complain about? We can change. From Within. And we can start to change NOW.
I waited, until I did not see a way out of living witih fibromyalgia, to change myself. I would hope that you learn from my mistakes and start to clear up your life as soon as you recognize that you want something else.
By implementing the 5 daily habits, I can guarantee you that you will start to slowly change your life. You will notice the brightness around you and attract more of it. You will notice what you do not like about our life and you will change it. And you will find what you like in someone else’s life and try to create that for yourself.
5 Daily Habits # 1: Honour your soul with meditation.
Meditations are the most popular form of wellness trends in 2019 (Source) and will continue being so as the collective consciousness rises during this decade. While exercise and diet benefit the body, meditation benefits the energetic field of the individual. The greatest impact of meditation is on the mind. Meditation brings peace and calmness to anyone practicing it. I don’t really subscribe to the term ‘mindfullness’ as the goal of meditation to empty a full mind. So instead of ‘mindful’ I like to use the term ‘conscious’. Meditation creates a state of consciousness that transcends your mind, body and soul. You can learn how to meditate from my blog here. Using this blog post you can even teach your kids to mediate.

5 Daily Habits # 2: Honour your mind with books.
Our mind are made for learning. Mahatma Gandhi once said “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”
I thought, graduating with a masters in business was the end of my education at 28 years of age. I was so wrong. Graduating from university was in fact the beginning of my education. Living a life of struggle up until now, was an education no school can provide. Learning to un-learn all that I was conditioned to do was a degree in itself.
“Accept that you know nothing. And many possibilities of learning will open up for you.”
I try to read one book a month. My interests lie in the field of personal development and I like to learn from books, but practice on life. Reading is not only about learning. Reading is about opening up your mind to new ways of thinking. Currently I am reading a book called “the Artists Way” by Julia Cameron. I will be creating another post about my top book recommendations in the field of personal and spiritual development.
5 Daily Habits # 3: Honour your body with NUTRITION, exercise and most importantly, self-love.
When you start to love yourself, honouring your body means accepting your body, its strengths and limitations. When I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2015, I started to, unconsciously, detest my own body. I ended up putting on a lot of weight, I did not need. And I started to eat a lot of unhealthy foods. What made matters worse was that physically, I was unable to exercise.
Self-love, in my view, is accepting yourself the way you ARE… not the way you want to be. It look a lot of dedication and a ‘fake it till you make it’ mindset on my part to start accepting my own body size and shape. I started to look at myself in the mirror, naked, and talk to my body. I asked my body to forgive me for treating it badly over the years, judging it and abusing it through late nights, drinking alcohol and eating food it could not digest easily.
In fact, many a times during the day I would thank my body for supporting the births of my two boys and supporting me through all the trails and tribulations in my life.
My journey to health started with me expressing love to myself. Everything changed after that. I began working out and eating what felt good for my body. Even though, I have some health goals I want to meet, I know that I am doing the best I can and I will continue to love myself the way I am.
5 Daily Habits # 4: Honour your being with gratitude.
Growing up, I did not really undestand gratitude. I knew that saying thank you was polite but I did not understand the true meaning of the word ‘thanks’.
Today, I start my day with the words “I am so happy, thankful and grateful for ….”, and I end my day with the same words. Feeling grateful, as soon as I wake up, sets the tone for the day. It also places me in the vibration of gratitude anytime I want to feel better about something.
Just last night I was woken up many times by my little one coughing. Needless to say, I did not sleep well and was a little irritable this morning. In stead of letting that feeling or irritation being dominant during the day, I chose to be grateful for having a family that I love, having a healthy body and having the resources to take care of a sick child. My practice of gratitude this morning made me smile. And when mama smiles, everyone smiles 😉
Your practice of gratitude will not only lift your spirits, it will also create a more magnetic field around you. You can use that magnetic field to attract the things you want more easily. I do belive that when I am in this high vibration of gratitude and thanks, I attarct more to be thankful for. And that’s just one of the many side-benefits of this practice.

5 Daily Habits # 5: Honour your community with kindness.
Kindness comes in two flavours: Kindness towards self and kindness towards others. If you cannot practice kindness towards yourself first, you will not be kind to others in a genuine manner.
When you are kind towards yourself i.e, you make yourself a priority over others, your world will seem brighter. Kindness towards self will affect your outlook about everything in your life. You will end up being the one that brightens up someone’s day and any room you walk into. So start by giving yourself thanks and caring for yourself.
Examples of being kind towards yourself might include:
1. Taking a walk in nature and reflecting on your thoughts and actions
2. Taking a warm bath before you cook for others
3. Sleeping in when you can or getting your nails done
Make it a daily ritual to pamper yourself in one way or another so you can be present for another.
